Welcome to The Radish!

Our main focus is on creating delicious recipes for a plant forward diet and healthy takes on family favorite recipes. We are not exclusively vegetarian or vegan (although many of our recipes are) and we focus on using unprocessed whole foods in every recipe.

Lisa loves to bake and previously had a French pastry business and food blog called Tarte du Jour. Consequently, you will see many tart and pastry recipes on The Radish.  We also had an organic coffee roasting business, Black Bee Coffee, when we lived in Naples, FL. We are coffee devotees and still roast our own green coffee beans at home.

Mike is a true cocktail enthusiast. Cocktail making started out as his COVID hobby while we lived in Wayne, PA and it has developed into a great interest of his. He loves to make the classics (no premixes here) and often mixes cocktails with unique variations.  Click our cocktail link to see what he has been mixing lately.

As new empty nesters, we currently call the Lake Norman area of North Carolina home. We care deeply about the environment and try our best to cook and live as sustainably as possible. Look for our tips!
